• Demonstrated support on a critical mainframe environment, using COBOL, DB2, CICS, JCL, MQ-Series, SQL, and VSAM files, as well as Easytrieve
• Experience in mainframe performance tuning and capacity planning, including ways to reduce I/Os, CPU Time, MSUs, and MIPs, using Strobe, iStrobe, and Platinum Detector
• Experience in navigating in an Oracle database environment for triage purposes
• File format and comparison using File-AID; version management using Endeavor; debugging and unit testing using Intertest and Abend-AID; and job scheduling using Control-M
• Ability to debug and reproduce issues in lower pre-production environments
• Ability to multi-task and stay organized in a dynamic work environment while meeting results
• While not required, knowledge of ETL, Informatica, Java, Python, or other distributed languages is a plus
