Senior IAM Engineer

Our client is seeking a skilled Senior IAM Engineer specializing in SailPoint IdentityIQ (IIQ) to join their team. This role requires an individual with deep technical expertise in identity and access management, especially in advanced Java-based and UI plugin development within SailPoint IIQ.


This role is hybrid model in Beaverton, Oregon.


  • Senior IAM Engineer Responsibilities:
  • Lead integration and support efforts for SailPoint IIQ, focusing on version 8.3 and custom connector/API development.
  • Manage system integrations for both internal and external applications, leveraging custom connectors and APIs within SailPoint.
  • Develop, test, and troubleshoot custom System/Application Connectors, including plugin development for both frontend UI and backend API.
  • Utilize expert-level knowledge on web services, SCIM-based connectors, LCM, certifications, provisioning, and role management in SailPoint.
  • Define and implement Identity Policies, Identity Lifecycle Automation, RBAC, Password Policies, Separation of Duties, and User Provisioning workflows in SailPoint IIQ.
  • Work within cloud environments, ensuring data security and implementing logging practices using tools like Splunk.
  • Participate in CI/CD pipeline processes, using SSD deployment frameworks and managing code repositories with Git.
  • Handle sensitive data with confidentiality, maintaining adherence to security and compliance standards in all IAM processes.


  • Senior IAM Engineer Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience, with 12+ years in IT, including 8 years in identity and access-related roles.
  • Minimum of 8 years of Identity & Access Management (IAM) experience, with a specialization in SailPoint IdentityIQ.
  • Advanced Java development skills, with expert knowledge of SailPoint IIQ, Microsoft Active Directory, relational databases, BeanShell, REST APIs, and web services.
  • Demonstrated experience in building and supporting custom SailPoint IIQ connectors, API development, and UI plugin development.
  • Proficiency with LCM, certifications, provisioning, and role management within SailPoint.
  • Experience with SSF, rapid setup frameworks, and SSD deployment.
  • Previous work in Agile environments and familiarity with CICD build tools.
  • A high level of integrity and confidentiality in managing sensitive data.
