Hours: 9:30am-5pm, some nights, some weekends (but not many), 1 hour lunch

Must-haves

-5-7 years of experience in a Commercial Trades roles

-HS diploma

-Experience assigning Work Orders through a technical software platform (ex: AssetWorks or Yardi)

-Experience supporting a COMMERCIAL portfolio (NOT REAL ESTATE) of roughly 2-5 million square feet

-Vendor management experience in a COMMERCIAL SETTING

  • Ex: Dealing with landlords of a dermatologist and/or other clinical site operation. NO REAL ESTATE

Day-to-Day

Insight Global is looking for a 6 month contract, possible extensions, 37.5 hours a week, Trades Manager for a client in New Haven, CT for $20-$22 an hour. This person will be joining a team of 1 other Trades Manager, and together, they are responsible for managing a commercial portfolio of roughly 3.5 million square feet. This portfolio is comprised of the following: medical and clinical facilities and restaurants throughout the city of New Haven (ex: a dermatologist office)

To further break down the role, the candidate will spend their time doing the following:

  • 40% completing field work orders that are then sent to vendors (ex: the dermatologist office on the strip flooded. Please send a plumber).
  • All work orders are submitted through AssetWorks - they will be trained on this platform
  • 20% reviewing invoices from vendors to check for financial efficiency
  • 20% constructing bids for small projects
  • 20% walking through the portfolio that is 3.5 million square feet and making sure everything is in check (essentially like an RA in college doing their late night duty rounds through the building…but on a much larger scale.
