POSITION: Administrative Specialist, Tacoma Parks Foundation
REPORTS TO: Manager of Operations and Communications
HOURS: Monday-Friday, 20- 25hours/
LOCATION: Hybrid/Remote-office Tacoma
JOB TYPE: Part-time, probationary period 90 days
PAY & BENEFITS: $20.00-$25.00 hourly; T PF offers generous paid sick, vacation, and holiday leave. Medical benefits not included.

Opportunity
Under the direction of the Manager for Operations & Communications, this position is responsible for providing exceptional administrative, accounting, and database support, including inputting and retrieving donation and interaction data from the donor database, donation processing, preparation of donor acknowledgments, and general administrative support for the Tacoma Parks Foundation.
This position assists in supporting the W.W. Seymour Conservatory Foundation and Ft. Nisqually Foundation which may include accounts receivable and accounts payable, membership support, board support, and other duties as assigned.
Additionally, This position provides support for special events as required and assists with the MPT Memorial Bench Program as needed.
Duties and Responsibilities
? Assist with donation processing for TPF, and its supporting foundations.
? Provide data entry, action tracking, fundraising reports, and relationship information using Bloomerang (will provide training on Bloomerang if needed); send solicitation and acknowledgment letters.
? Responsible for providing support to the TPF staff and supporting foundations with daily duties associated with fundraising, grants, corporate giving and campaign activities; board, committee and volunteer efforts; special opportunities and events.
? Provide exceptional customer service to donors, community members, non-profit boards, and staff members. Respond to telephone and online donor inquiries, process credit cards, and ensure that donors receive prompt responses and adequate attention.
? Assist with a donor membership program for W.W. Seymour Conservatory Foundation.
? Work with staff to support the MPT Memorial Program as needed.
? Work with TPF staff to schedule, support, and coordinate events and board meetings and take minutes for various meetings as needed.
? Run donor and constituent mailings, including proofreading and editing, preparation of mailing lists, and sorting and stuffing of mail materials.
? Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications for Education, Experience & Skills
? Associate's degree in a relevant field preferred or equivalent comparable knowledge, skills, and experience.
? Two years of database and administrative support experience.
? Experience using fundraising databases (such as Bloomerang and/or Raiser's Edge).
? Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and other commonly used technologies.
? Strong planning, management and organization capabilities
? Ability to travel as needed for meetings and events as required
? A valid Washington State driver’s license or ID
? Authorization to work in the US required
? Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 lbs. – accommodations can be made
? Ability to work some evening hours for special events (not often).
