A healthcare network in New York City is looking to fill an immediate need at one of their Brooklyn facilities with the addition of a new Leave of Absence Clerk for their Hospital.
About the Opportunity:
- Start Date: ASAP
- Schedule to work: Monday to Friday (on site)
- Hours: 9:00am - 5:00pm (1 hour lunch)
Responsibilities:
As a member of our team, you will be responsible for assisting with compliance of the Leaves of Absence (LOA) and Disability processes across our organization.
- Monitor and track leave of absence requests in accordance with federal, state, and local laws, alongside company policies.
- Assess and communicate eligibility for various leaves, including FMLA, PFL, and ADA.
- Prepare and send necessary forms and documentation to employees accurately and promptly.
- Maintain organized records and documentation to meet regulatory requirements.
- Identify trends and issues related to LOA, providing management with insights for continuous improvement.
- Deliver training and support to management on LOA and ADA policies to ensure consistent application.
- Collaborate with HR, Employee Health Services, Workers Compensation, and Payroll teams to meet objectives.
- Manage confidential employee information in compliance with HIPAA.
- Perform additional duties as assigned and contribute to departmental tasks as required.
Qualifications:
- 2 years of experience in Human Resources or Leave of Absence (LOA) administration.
- Understanding of federal and state leave laws and ADA requirements.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information responsibly.
- Excellent organizational skills with strong verbal and written communication abilities.
- Proficient computer skills, especially in Microsoft Office.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines with supervision.
Desired Skills:
- Experience working with UKG Kronos or Pro Timekeeping System.
- Detail oriented and analytical in reviewing large data sets.
