Shelterhouse is seeking an experienced Facilities Manager to oversee day-to-day maintenance of their 2 locations while playing a crucial role in our mission-driven organization. Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of kitchen services and facility maintenance, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency.
- Develop and enforce Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for kitchen and facility operations.
- Manage budgets, control costs, and track inventory for both kitchen and facility operations.
- Lead, train, and mentor kitchen and facilities staff, fostering a high-performing team.
- Handle vendor relationships for facility maintenance and kitchen supplies, as well as oversee facility-related projects, such as repairs, renovations, and upgrades.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and regulatory standards, including OSHA and ADA.
Requirements
- 5+ years in facilities management, with a focus on construction, maintenance, and building operations.
- Strong leadership abilities, team management, and budget oversight. Hands-on experience in building maintenance, including preventive maintenance and repairs. This role also has on-call responsibilities.
- OSHA 30-hour certification required; additional certifications (e.g., HVAC, plumbing) are a plus.
- Proven experience in construction or tradesperson roles. Journeyman experience preferred, with a focus on electrical systems.
- Availability to handle on-call responsibilities.
