Job Description

As a Plant Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of plant operations, ensuring efficiency, quality, and safety standards are consistently met. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering, coupled with proven leadership skills, strategic thinking, and a results-driven mindset.

Key Responsibilities:

Operational Leadership:

  • Lead and manage day-to-day plant operations to meet production goals and objectives.
  • Develop and implement operational strategies to optimize efficiency and resource utilization.
  • Ensure adherence to quality control standards and regulatory requirements.

Team Management:

  • Build and lead a high-performing team through effective communication, coaching, and mentorship.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, employee engagement, and teamwork.
  • Establish performance metrics and conduct regular performance reviews for team members.

Engineering Expertise:

  • Utilize engineering knowledge to identify and implement process improvements.
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and technological advancements to drive innovation in plant processes.

Budget and Cost Management:

  • Develop and manage the plant budget, ensuring cost-effective operations.
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings and process optimizations without compromising quality.

Health, Safety, and Environmental Compliance:

  • Enforce strict safety protocols to maintain a secure and healthy working environment.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and company policies.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field; advanced degree is a plus.
  2. Proven experience 10 plus years in a leadership role within a manufacturing or production environment.
  3. Strong background in engineering with a comprehensive understanding of plant processes.
  4. Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
  5. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make informed decisions under pressure.
  6. Solid understanding of budget management and cost control principles.
  7. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  8. Familiarity with safety standards and environmental regulations.
