Are you an expert in melting operations with a passion for precision and efficiency in the automotive industry ? We’re seeking a driven Melt Manager to oversee and optimize melting processes, ensure compliance with safety and quality standards, and lead a team to deliver exceptional results in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

What You’ll Do:

Operational Leadership

  • Manage all aspects of melting operations, ensuring consistent production of high-quality materials.
  • Oversee the preparation and execution of melt schedules to meet production goals and deadlines.
  • Maintain furnace performance and ensure proper calibration for optimal efficiency.

Quality Assurance

  • Monitor material specifications and chemical compositions to meet stringent automotive industry standards.
  • Identify and resolve issues related to alloy inconsistencies or material defects.
  • Collaborate with quality assurance teams to ensure products meet or exceed customer expectations.

Team Development

  • Lead, train, and mentor melt shop personnel, fostering a safety-first and performance-driven culture.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and implement strategies to improve team effectiveness.

Safety and Compliance

  • Enforce strict adherence to workplace safety protocols and industry regulations.
  • Implement and oversee training programs for safe handling of materials and equipment.

Resource Management

  • Optimize the use of raw materials, energy, and equipment to reduce waste and control costs.
  • Develop and manage budgets for melt shop operations and maintenance.

Continuous Improvement

  • Drive process improvements by identifying inefficiencies and implementing innovative solutions.
  • Stay informed about advancements in melting technology and integrate new practices to enhance productivity.

Collaboration

  • Work closely with foundry, maintenance, and engineering teams to ensure seamless production processes.
  • Maintain effective communication with suppliers and customers to uphold supply chain efficiency.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Extensive experience in melting operations, ideally within the automotive manufacturing sector .
  • Strong understanding of metallurgical processes, furnace operations, and quality standards.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to inspire and manage a team effectively.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
  • Deep knowledge of health, safety, and environmental compliance in manufacturing.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
