Job Description

PV Hardware (PVH) is a provider of innovative solar tracking solutions for the global utility-scale solar market, including trackers, fixed structures and SCADA system.


Each solar tracker product by PVH covers different needs, depending on the characteristics of the project. Its newest solar tracker family, Monoline+, is specifically redesigned for large-format ultra-high-power modules in two configurations, 1P and 2P, both optimized for #bifacial modules. It offers significantly improved yields and better adaptability to different terrains and conditions.


We are looking for a Technical Buyer for a large-scale solar photovoltaic project in USA.


Mission:

At first, to meet with all purchasing requests demanded during the factory implementation and new opening.

Secondly, coordinate and apply the Purchasing Strategy of the company, getting signatures of contracts to guarantee the sourcing of Project´s demands plus factory´s demands.


Responsibilities:


  • Agile methodology to follow up all purchasing requests through PVH ERP.
  • Negotiation and close the main supply contracts of the assigned projects.
  • Launch, negotiation and closure of the RFQ processes, for the rest of the supplies, of the assigned projects.
  • Location of new suppliers that can supply materials and/or work in the different projects, in which the company participates.
  • Finalize purchase order and delivery details.
  • Inform key functional metrics to reduce costs and improve effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with the rest of key departments to secure contracts and RFQ's processes.
  • Monitoring of risk management for contracts and supply agreements, as well as search for possible alternatives in other possible suppliers.
  • Development and knowledge of supplier portfolio, as well as its valuation.
  • Development, negotiation and management of global framework agreements with key suppliers in order to minimize risk and total cost.


Qualifications

  • Industrial Engineer or an equivalent to Industrial manufacturing
  • Minimum of 5 years, of experience, performing the functions described


Required:

  • Computing: Office Package, SAP.
  • Advanced Excel.
  • Knowledge of international logistics.
  • Knowledge of market, suppliers and main equipment.
  • Knowledge of the structure of the company
