Corporate Resources, on behalf of our client located in Addison, IL, is hiring a full-time Construction Administrative Assistant.



Construction Administrative Assistant (Payroll) - (Addison, IL)

$60,000 - $70,000 Annually

Nationally recognized contractor seeking a Construction Administrative Assistant (Payroll) to ensure smooth operations with each project. Additionally, the Construction Administrative Assistant (Payroll) will be responsible for accurate processing of certified payroll.

Construction Administrative Assistant (Payroll) Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and submit certified payroll reports in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws related to wage rates, overtime, deductions, and benefits for all employees
  • Track hours worked, wage rates, and employee classifications to meet specific contract requirements
  • Generate weekly or bi-weekly certified payroll reports and submit them to the appropriate contractor
  • Work with project managers to verify the correct wage rates and classifications are applied to employees based on the type of work being performed
  • Assist in internal audits or external audits related to payroll and labor compliance
  • Serve as the liaison between vendors, construction crews, project managers, and other departments
  • Responsible for new job set up
  • Handle billing, waivers, and act as back up for certified payroll
  • Ensure all contract documents are executed and returned within prescribed time frames
  • Establish and maintain document archiving and retrieval system, prioritizing the flow of project reports/correspondence, ensuring these documents are handled and processed timely
  • Request, track, and maintain purchase orders, return order, change orders, contractor charge backs; ensuring accuracy and integrity of records
  • Produce reports tracking the scope of work, budget, and schedule of project
  • Organize and maintain vendor documentation
  • Prepare and maintain project documentation for various permits required and COI


Construction Administrative Assistant (Payroll) Qualifications:

  • Minimum 1-2 years’ experience in processing certified payroll
  • Construction industry experience highly preferred
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Must have a “can do” attitude
  • Ability to prioritize, coordinate, multi-task, and demonstrate initiative
