We are seeking an experienced Senior Piping Designer to join on of our clients. This contract to hire, hands-on role requires a professional with extensive experience in drafting and 3D modeling. The successful candidate will be responsible for interpreting Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID), reviewing vendor drawings, creating detailed 3D models, and preparing accurate construction documents, including bills of materials.

This position also requires strong leadership capabilities to guide a team toward achieving project objectives efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

3D Modeling

• Utilize P&ID drawings to develop accurate 3D piping models.
• Create 3D models from vendor-provided drawings.
• Design 3D models of chutes, ducts, and other components.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure model accuracy and completeness.

Construction Drawings

• Develop final construction drawings that reflect precise engineered designs.
• Generate piping isometric drawings and plans from 3D models.
• Prepare detailed fabrication drawings and bills of materials based on 3D models.
• Provide additional drafting support as assigned.

Qualifications

Required Experience

• A minimum of 10+ years of drafting or modeling experience using Autodesk products (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, etc.).
• At least 3+ years of leadership experience , including managing teams or projects.

Skills and Competencies

• Expertise in Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID).
• Proficiency in 3D modeling software and tools.
• Strong understanding of engineering design and construction processes.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to coordinate effectively with cross-functional teams.
