Our client, a Japanese Food Distributor is searching for a Purchasing Agent to join their team.

Title: Purchasing Agent

Salary: $18-$27/hr

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 2+ years of Food purchasing experience / training preferred
• Experience in ERP systems
• Basic Microsoft Office proficiency
• Customer Service experience
• Knowledgeable in Japanese food brands and products

JOB DUTIES:

• Oversee purchasing frozen, dry foods, and Non-food items, including sourcing,
• Handle transportation logistics, price negotiations and product development
• Creates purchase orders based on analysis and forecasting product sales volume and market demands
• Secure product quality by sampling and customer feedback
• Review inventory for discrepancies – identify each product condition and needs
• Calculate product costs and prices to determine profit margin
