Scientist II – Broomfield, CO

Salary: 90-95K
Essential Responsibilities:
- Perform high complexity tests as authorized by the laboratory director.
- Follow procedures for specimen handling, processing, test analysis, and results reporting.
- Maintain records of proficiency testing samples and patient test results.
- Adhere to quality control policies, document activities, and perform instrument maintenance.
- Identify and resolve test performance issues or notify relevant supervisors.
- Collaborate on proteomics projects, experiment design, and data interpretation.
- Deliver high-quality data for project oversight.
- Conduct statistical analysis and review QC testing data.
- Utilize mass spectrometers, Lab collector software, Skyline, and related tools.
Education and Experience:
- Doctoral or Master's degree in relevant scientific fields.
- Experience with Mass Spectrometry (Orbitrap instruments), MS software analysis, and proteomics methodologies.
- Strong communication skills.
- Minimum of 1-10 years of relevant experience depending on degree.
- In-depth disciplinary knowledge and business acumen.
- Advanced principles and project management techniques.
- Problem-solving, opportunity/risk analysis, and trends integration.
- Guide major projects based on business plans.
- Contribute to function/department objectives and maintain productive relationships.
