Position: Production Planner

Pay: $35-40/hour
Experience:
- 3+ years of experience as a technical planner, scheduler, or supervisor (preferably in a food production facility).
- Experience with SAP, project management, and inventory management.
Education:
- Associate's degree required.
- Level 4 certificate required.

Greene Resources is seeking a Production Planner to join a growing and dynamic team!
Job Description:
- Plan and schedule both preventive and corrective maintenance activities in alignment with production schedules.
- Prepare all necessary resources, including parts, machines, personnel, and permits, to execute work orders efficiently.
- Develop detailed work instructions for preventive and corrective maintenance tasks.
- Collaborate with the planning team to ensure accurate scheduling of shutdown timelines and other key maintenance activities.
- Optimize maintenance programs by managing spare parts inventory and minimizing machine failures.
- Assist technicians in performing work orders according to company standards and provide detailed instructions.
- Review the quality of completed maintenance tasks, offering feedback and training to technicians as needed.
- Implement and update preventive maintenance plans to minimize corrective actions and enhance operational efficiency.
- Adjust existing preventive maintenance schedules based on supplier recommendations and insights from corrective maintenance findings.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement by identifying and implementing machine upgrades and process improvements.
- Assist in addressing production breakdowns to ensure quick resolutions and rapid production restarts.
- Manage urgent spare parts orders and repairs, coordinating with both in-house technicians and external vendors.
- Serve as a subject-matter expert, providing training to supervisors and technicians on best practices and machine enhancements.
- Implement safety and quality upgrades as part of the continuous improvement process.
Position Requirements :
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Experience liaising with suppliers and external vendors.
- Strong technical knowledge with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Focus on production quality and efficiency.
- Ability to work independently and manage your own work.
- Strong communication skills, goal-oriented, empathetic, and a team player.
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Willingness to provide technical assistance outside of normal working hours if needed.
- Availability to be on-call during designated periods each month.
