We are looking for an ambitious and detail-oriented Assistant Project Manager to support our dynamic team in Chantilly, VA.
About the Role:
As the Assistant Project Manager, you will play a key role in the successful execution of high-end Class A apartment developments. You will assist the Project Manager in overseeing all phases of construction, from pre-construction through project closeout, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Project Manager to develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and scopes of work.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure project specifications are met.
- Monitor and track project progress, addressing any issues or delays proactively.
- Assist in preparing RFIs, submittals, and change orders, maintaining accurate project documentation.
- Conduct site visits to inspect work, ensuring compliance with quality standards and safety regulations.
- Support the management of contracts, purchase orders, and vendor agreements.
- Communicate regularly with clients and stakeholders to provide project updates and address concerns.
- Contribute to project closeout activities, including punch lists and final documentation.
What We’re Looking For:
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- 1-3 years of experience in construction project management, preferably in multifamily or luxury apartment developments.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in construction management software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project).
- Knowledge of building codes, permitting processes, and industry best practices.
- A proactive, detail-oriented mindset with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
