Job Description
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) or a closely related engineering discipline; or equivalent professional experience.
Minimum of 5+ years of relevant professional experience in manufacturing or hydraulics/fluid power.
Proficient in CNC programming, with proven experience in creating, modifying, and optimizing programs for complex machining operations.
Experience with new product launch activities.
Strong problem-solving skills in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Demonstrated experience in training and supporting LEAN manufacturing initiatives.
Successful track record with automation projects.
Knowledge of PLC and PivotWare programming is a plus.
Supervisory or leadership experience is a Preferred.
Responsibilities:
Develop, evaluate, implement, and improve manufacturing methods through process enhancements, capital budget improvements, and equipment modifications.
Analyze and plan workforce standards, space requirements, and workflow for optimized production.
Design layouts of equipment and workspace to ensure maximum efficiency.
Oversee tool and gauge design for the Machining Business Unit (MBU).
Provide technical process support through written manufacturing instructions and documentation control.
Collaborate with the DIP Team on tooling to ensure efficient production methods.
Serve as a technical expert for purchasing, assisting with equipment, materials, or parts selection, and evaluating products for quality standards.
Estimate production times, staffing needs, and related costs for management decision-making.
Partner with management, engineering, and other teams to enhance manufacturing capabilities and production processes.
Apply statistical methods to evaluate future manufacturing needs and capacity.
Contribute to the development and management of operational budgets within the engineering group.
Act as a change agent, fostering a collaborative, creative, and respectful workplace culture.
Provide guidance, training, and mentorship to junior engineers to support their professional growth.
Evaluate team members' performance, offering feedback, recognizing exceptional performance, and identifying areas for improvement.
Allocate resources, including personnel, budget, and equipment, to ensure manufacturing goals are met.
