Director of Supply Chain & Contract Management
Overview:
A well-established organization is seeking a strategic leader to oversee its supply chain and contract management functions. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in procurement and subcontracting, particularly within government or defense industries. This individual will ensure regulatory compliance, optimize procurement processes, and lead supplier relationships to support key projects and organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with organizational objectives and government regulations.
- Manage subcontracting processes, including sourcing, negotiations, and performance evaluations.
- Ensure compliance with federal procurement regulations, including FAR and DFARS.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address procurement needs effectively.
- Conduct supplier market research to identify and evaluate potential partners.
- Build, mentor, and manage a high-performing procurement team.
- Develop policies and procedures for maintaining CPSR compliance.
- Establish and maintain supplier relationships, negotiating favorable terms to reduce costs and mitigate risks.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field required; an advanced degree is preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in procurement and subcontracting, with a focus on government or defense contracting.
- 5+ years in a leadership role managing procurement or subcontracting teams.
- Expertise in ERP systems; experience with Deltek Costpoint is a plus.
- Strong understanding of federal procurement regulations, including CPSR, FAR, and DFARS.
