GL Staffing is seeking for a Quality Engineer for a leading provider of intimate health and peak performance products, this organization is committed to enhancing consumers’ lives through innovative and high-quality offerings.
Salary range: 85k - 90k a year (Based on experience)
Full-time position located in Pompano Beach, FL.
Occasional travel may be required for supplier inspections and regulatory audits.
Responsibilities: Quality Engineer
- Conduct validations, investigate customer complaints, and perform supplier audits to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Manage the calibration program for testing and measurement equipment, ensuring accuracy and reliability.
- Lead root cause analysis and corrective action processes for quality issues.
- Implement and drive process improvements to enhance product quality and efficiency while ensuring compliance with industry regulations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain quality systems aligned with regulatory requirements and best practices.
- Utilize Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to optimize processes and quality control procedures.
- Mentor junior quality engineers and inspectors, sharing best practices and promoting a quality-focused culture.
- Contribute to developing and implementing quality strategies to support business goals and customer satisfaction.
- Leverage bilingual communication skills to collaborate with international stakeholders effectively.
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and quality engineering advancements to ensure continuous improvement.
Requirements: Quality Engineer
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a scientific or engineering discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality engineering, with expertise in validations, customer complaint investigations, supplier audits, and SCARs (Supplier Corrective Action Requests).
- Experience in the medical device or pharmaceutical industry, with in-depth knowledge of relevant quality standards and regulations (e.g., FDA, ISO).
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish for effective communication with diverse teams.
- Familiarity with calibration programs and experience managing the calibration of measurement and testing equipment.
- Strong background in process improvement initiatives, quality systems implementation, and regulatory compliance.
- Knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma methodologies; certification (e.g., Green Belt, Black Belt) is a plus.
- Proven track record in leading investigations, root cause analysis, and implementing corrective and preventive actions.
- Ability to mentor quality inspectors and junior engineers, promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail and investigation-focused tasks.
- 5-10 years of experience for candidates interested in a Quality Engineer position.
- ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) is a plus.
