We are seeking an experienced Cloud Engineer who has expertise in the strategy, design, development, and implementation of large-scale projects in the cloud. The ideal candidate will have a firm grasp of emerging technologies, platforms, and applications with an ability to customize them to help our business become more secure and efficient. Extensive knowledge of cloud maintenance and advanced industry knowledge are essential to keep us on the cutting edge. The Cloud Engineer will have an immediate impact on the day-to-day efficiency of IT operations and an ongoing impact on growth.

Required Skills:

• Bachelor’s Degree in a Computer Science based subject, equivalent qualification, or equivalent relevant experience
• 1+ years of experience in designing, developing, and implementing cloud solutions
• Experience automating tasks using Ansible, Bash, PowerShell, Puppet, or Python
• Experience administering Virtualized or Containerized systems in VMWare or Docker/Kubernetes/Openshift
• Strong collaboration and excellent communication skills verbal and written using collaborating tooling e.g. Atlassian Suite (Confluence, Jira, Bitbucket)
• Cloud experience and awareness in AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud
• Experience in one or more of the following areas: database architecture, ETL, business intelligence, big data, machine learning, advanced analytics

Desired Skills:

• Amazon Web Services Certified to Practitioner or Associate level with experience designing, deploying, and administering cloud based solutions
• Strong agile background, with ability to learn and succeed across multiple teams and adapt where required
• Platform experience in designing, deploying, and administering Linux or Unix based solutions would be advantageous e.g. using virtualization, containerization, Infrastructure as Code
• Experience with performance monitoring tools e.g. Elastic Stack, Grafana, CheckMK
