Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Utilities/Project Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team at our pharmaceutical manufacturing facility in Wilson, NC. The ideal candidate will have a strong engineering background in utility systems, with a focus on HVAC, energy management, and process optimization. This position plays a key role in supporting the improvement and optimization of critical utilities and HVAC systems, driving sustainability efforts, and ensuring compliance with GMP and industry regulations.

Must Haves

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in utility systems and HVAC optimization within a regulated industry.
• Strong experience in managing utilities projects and process improvements, with an emphasis on energy management, HVAC, and system optimization.

Skills:

• Strong project management skills with the ability to drive projects from concept to completion.
• Expertise in deviation investigations and root cause analysis.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
• Knowledge of energy-saving technologies and sustainability practices in manufacturing environments.
• Proficiency in relevant engineering software and tools for project tracking and analysis.

Plusses:

• Experience with energy management systems, sustainability programs, and green technologies.
• Familiarity with building envelope upgrades (windows, doors, insulation) and sustainability initiatives in manufacturing.
• Familiarity with GMP regulations and experience in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment is preferred.
