We are hiring a Principal Satellite System Engineer in Denver, Colorado, to lead the development of advanced satellite systems for LEO, MEO, and GEO missions. This role requires a strategic thinker with deep technical expertise and a proven track record of driving innovative satellite solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define and oversee the end-to-end architecture of satellite systems, ensuring mission alignment and technical feasibility.
- Lead technical reviews, including requirements definition, design validation, and performance optimization.
- Work closely with payload and platform teams to integrate cutting-edge technologies, such as optical inter-satellite links and onboard processing.
- Manage system-level risk assessments and propose mitigation strategies.
- Act as a key liaison with customers, suppliers, and regulatory bodies.
- Stay at the forefront of industry trends and contribute to strategic planning initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Advanced degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 10+ years of experience in satellite systems engineering, including leadership roles.
- Expertise in satellite communications, propulsion systems, and thermal control.
- Hands-on experience with design and simulation tools like STK, Ansys, and ADS.
- Strong leadership and project management skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
