Job Description

Our Client, an European high-end modular and custom-made systems design company, is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to join their team and should be based out of the San Francisco Bay Area . This person will be tasked with developing the company's business on the West Coast and bringing in new accounts.


MAIN RESPONSABILITIES:

  • Contribute to the development of the overall Sales strategy.
  • In line with the Company’s general Sales and Marketing strategies, plan, organize and guide sales programs to achieve maximum sales volume possible for the company in the assigned territory, the West Coast.
  • Propose and deliver sales targets in the assigned territory.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with existing customers.
  • Report the progress of weekly/monthly activities to the Director of Sales.
  • Provide constant feed-back on products, prices, marketing activities, market dynamics, competitors actions.
  • Monitor Company's competition.



PRIMARY OBJECTIVES:

  • Rapidly increase sales in the West Coast.
  • Find and develop new business categories and opportunities
  • Provide an efficient/effective distribution network which guarantees long term growth on solid bases in line with the Company’s expectations, plans, culture and business philosophy.
  • Participate in the sales organization and activities of upcoming events (fairs, Road shows, etc.).
  • Work with key international Brands in order to grow possible business relationships.



SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • At least 5 years of relevant experience, or equivalent, in a similar business (fixtures, modular systems manufacturer/distributor)
  • Strong business development (rather than sales) skills.
  • Excellent analysis, synthesis and communication skills.
  • Worldly personality. Ability to work in a dynamic and multicultural environment.
  • Strong knowledge of retail industry (visual merchandising and store planning fundamentals, retail company’s organization and processes, major operators, etc.).
  • Ability to interact both at high and mid ranking levels within client organizations.
  • Proven track record in meeting or exceeding goals.
  • Ability to control and work within budgets.
  • Excellent relationship skills.
  • Strong team spirit with a positive and enthusiastic personality.
  • Self motivated and with a leader mentality.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Brand ambassador mentality.
  • Given a task, ability to act independently in line with the company’s strategies.
  • Availability to travel, even extensively
