Position Details

• Position Title: Interim Pharmacist

• Shift Requirements:

o Days, evenings, and every other weekend (with possible midnight coverage as needed).

o Willingness to rotate shifts is required.

• Required Skills: Inpatient experience, IV preparation.

• State License: Indiana license required.

• Dates of Coverage: ASAP through at least 3 months (possibility of extension).

• Coverage Hours Needed:

o Shifts:

? 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM

? 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM

? 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM

? 3:00 PM – 12:00 AM

? Possible coverage for 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM

o Weekend Coverage: Required every other weekend; rotating shifts.

o On-Call Requirement: None.

Systems and Automation

• Order Entry System: EPIC (Training available).

• Site Automation: OMNICELL (Training available).

Site Information

• Site Specialty Areas:

o Med/Surg

o ICU

o OR

o General inpatient

o Outpatient

• Staffing Size:

o Day Shift: Ideally 3 pharmacists.

o Evening Shift: 2 pharmacists.

o Overnight Shift: 1 pharmacist.

Job Responsibilities

• Order verification and medication checking.

• Basic clinical duties, including kinetics, renal dosing, IV to PO conversions, formulary conversions, and technician oversight.

Technicians’ Roles

• Filling medications.

• Mixing IVs.

• Delivering medications.

• Responding to nursing requests.

Additional Details

• Dress Code: Business casual.

• Specialty Training: EPIC and OMNICELL systems training provided.
