This highly visible executive will be responsible for overseeing the clinical operations of UPMC’s integrated Rehab Network. The President will provide leadership to a robust team, while partnering closely with the Chair of Physical Medicine, Director of the Rehabilitation Institute, and Medical Director of the Rehab Network, to collaboratively set strategic direction and goals. Through emphasis on access, quality, efficiency and best practices, the President will ensure that clinical services are delivered with a best of class culture across our multiple, complex, and diverse Rehab locations. This executive must bring with them the experience, approach, and style to effectively interact with and influence a broad spectrum of hospital, health plan and physician executives. The President will also provide executive oversight of UPMC Rehabilitation Institute and Concentra relationships.

Since 1986, UPMC has provided one of the largest networks of community-based, comprehensive inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation services in western Pennsylvania. UPMC Rehabilitation Institute is the proud employer of nearly 1,100 full- time employees, including more than 650 highly trained and experienced physical therapists, physical therapist assistants, speech language pathologists, occupational therapists, and certified occupational therapy assistants.

Qualifications

• Candidates must possess an undergraduate degree and a Master’s degree from an accredited program of physical or occupational therapy or other related program.
• A minimum of 7-10 years’experience in operational management of Rehab Services and Networks with at least five years’ experience at a senior executive level and a strong commitment to operations.
• Advanced knowledge of physical rehabilitation across a variety of settings including inpatient, outpatient, skilled and/or other post-acute settings.
• Proven expertise in developing both tactical and strategic plans to achieve business objectives within a large, complex market.
• An in-depth understanding of the legislative and regulatory environment within physical rehabilitation, as well as the broader healthcare arena, including emerging trends in technology, revenue generation, delivery, reimbursement, financing, and cost containment.
