About the CompanyOur client, a leading Canadian litigation law firm is seeking a Litigation Associate to join their team.ResponsibilitiesLead and support class action cases from inception through to resolution, including drafting pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.Conduct in-depth legal research on complex issues of law related to class actions, including certification, liability, and damages.Regularly communicate with clients and potential class members, providing updates and managing expectations throughout the course of litigation.Coordinate and oversee discovery processes, including reviewing documents, identifying key evidence, and drafting summaries.Support the development of case strategies, assist with trial preparation, and actively contribute to settlement negotiations and agreements.Work closely with senior lawyers and other team members to develop case strategies, and attend court hearings, mediations, and other legal proceedings.RequirementsLicensed to practice law in Ontario, with a minimum of 4 years of experience in class action or complex commercial litigation.Strong knowledge of class action certification procedures, as well as experience in class action law, consumer protection, product liability, or related areas.Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to draft clear, persuasive legal documents and communicate complex legal concepts to clients and the court.Exceptional research, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.CompensationOur client offers a competitive salary, along with a comprehensive benefits package.
