Our client, a reputable multi-service National law firm is seeking an experienced Construction Litigation Legal Assistant to join their team!
Responsibilities
- Drafting and preparing various legal documents and correspondence.
- Managing and tracking deadlines, including calendar management, and scheduling appointments for Lawyers.
- Running monthly accounts, and entering dockets into the firm’s accounting software.
- Compiling records and briefs.
- Filing of legal documents with appropriate courts.
- Maintaining an electronic filing system.
- Opening and closing files electronically and physically.
- General administrative duties including booking meeting rooms, scheduling meetings, and other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Three plus years of relevant Litigation experience.
- Strong knowledge of the Rules of Civil Procedure.
- Proficient with legal software, MS Office 365, and PDF/Adobe.
- Legal Assistant Diploma/Law Clerk Certificate.
Compensation
This role offers a salary up to $70,000 commensurate with experience, an excellent benefits package and RRSP matching.
