Legal Contract Drafting Specialist
Location : Hybrid (2 days a week on-site in our Philadelphia office)
This is a non-attorney position.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Review and analyze non-disclosure agreements, client agreements, supplier contracts and other commercial contracts to identify business risks;
- Correctly interpret contract provisions;
- Draft, negotiate and amend contracts with assistance and supervision;
- Recommend contract language to internal and external parties;
- Recognize and communicate unique requirements and issues that arise in different contract settings;
- Maintain the contract database;
- Assist with the collection of legal debt;
- Respond and address legal or contract inquiries from front office staff;
- Assist in any other short-term and long-term projects as needed.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- At least 2 years of experience in a legal/corporate office preferred;
- At least 1 year of contract negotiation and redlining;
- At least 1 year of experience with risk analysis and negotiations;
- At least 1 year of experience reading and working with commercial contracts;
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills;
- Effective time-management in a demanding, deadline-driven environment;
- Ability to adapt in an environment of ongoing change, growth and progress;
- Professional, clear and informative writing style;
- Varying writing style to meet client and company needs;
- Patience, attention to detail, accuracy, and thoroughness when interpreting and analyzing written commercial contracts;
- Ability to effectively collect and research data and facts;
- Exercises professionalism at all times;
- Commits fully to the job;
- Dependability (follows instructions, responds to management direction, meets deadlines, consistently arrives to work on time); and
- Takes initiative, asks for help and offers help as needed.
Compensation:
- $45-60K Commensurate with experience and qualifications; (eligible for overtime)
