We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Packaging Manager to oversee the packaging operations within a rapidly growing Food Manufacturing Company in Leominster. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of SQF standards, ensuring that all packaging processes meet industry compliance. This role requires mechanical knowledge and the ability to operate, and manage food packaging equipment effectively. The Package Manager will play a crucial role in maintaining food quality standards while optimizing efficiency in our packaging operations.

Duties

• Oversee the entire packaging process, ensuring compliance with FDA regulations and CGMP standards.
• Assemble and fabricate packaging materials as needed for various products.
• Utilize hand tools to operate and maintain packaging machinery.
• Conduct regular inspections of packaging equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
• Train and supervise staff in proper packaging techniques and safety protocols.
• Manage inventory levels of packaging supplies, coordinating with suppliers for timely deliveries.
• Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance packaging efficiency and reduce waste.

Requirements

• Proven experience in a food manufacturing environment, preferably in a packaging role.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience using hand tools and operating food packaging machinery.
• Familiarity with FDA regulations and CGMP practices is highly desirable.
• Ability to assemble, fabricate, and troubleshoot packaging equipment effectively.
• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Strong communication skills to effectively lead a team and collaborate with other departments.
• A problem-solving mindset with logical reasoning abilities to address challenges as they arise.
• Bilingual: English/Spanish preferred.
