Production Manager – Bloomfield, CT (Hiring for a Top Client)
Pay : $110,000–$140,000/year (DOE)

About the Role
The Production Manager will oversee the Streamline production department, including scheduling, resource allocation, staff management, and quality control. The role focuses on ensuring jobs are completed on time and within quality standards. You’ll manage teams responsible for building automated equipment, including electrical control panels, hydraulic power units, and electromechanical units, while fostering a safe, efficient, and collaborative work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage production teams, including supervisors and technicians, ensuring efficient operations and adherence to safety protocols.
- Oversee hiring, training, performance reviews, and development of production staff.
- Develop and implement production schedules, ensuring optimal resource allocation to meet deadlines and customer demands.
- Collaborate with engineering and design teams to ensure manufacturability and smooth transitions from design to production.
- Monitor production workflows, identify areas for improvement, and implement best practices to enhance efficiency and quality.
- Analyze production metrics, prepare performance reports, and ensure compliance with safety and ISO standards.
- Provide guidance and support in assembly processes, quality control, and problem resolution.
- Assist with engineering tasks, including BOM development, component selection, and minor drawing updates as needed.
- Plan and coordinate equipment maintenance procedures to ensure smooth operations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, or related field.
- 5–10 years of experience in production management, ideally within the machinery or manufacturing industry.
- Strong understanding of both high-mix/low-volume and low-mix/high-volume production environments.
- Experience with electrical control panels, power distribution, and reading electrical schematics.
- Proven leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Proficiency in production management software, Microsoft Office Suite, and ISO 9001:2015 standards.
- Familiarity with hand and power tools, electrical wiring, and assembly processes.
Physical Demands
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted and over 50 lbs. with lifting aids.
- Frequent standing, walking, climbing, pushing, and manual dexterity for assembling precision components.
