Principal Mechanical Engineer | Energy | Knox County, TN (On-Site)

Responsibilities:
- Develop and optimize mechanical systems and components using FEA (Finite Element Analysis) and CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) tools.
- Create detailed 3D CAD designs, including prototypes and final production models.
- Perform thermal, structural, and fluid flow analyses.
- Lead mechanical design projects from concept through production, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
- Conduct testing, validation, and troubleshooting of designs, ensuring they meet performance and safety requirements.
Experience Required:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in mechanical engineering roles, focusing on FEA, CFD, and 3D CAD design.
- Proven experience in industries such as laser technology, nuclear energy, automotive, aerospace, or similar.
- Proficiency in industry-standard design and analysis software (e.g., ANSYS, SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar).
- Strong understanding of materials science, thermal dynamics, and fluid mechanics.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
