Principal Optical Engineer | Energy | Knox County, TN (On-Site)

We are seeking a highly skilled Optical Engineer with a proven track record of success in the design, analysis, and implementation of advanced optical systems.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the design, development, and optimization of optical systems and components.
• Perform optical simulations and analysis using tools like Zemax and FRED.
• Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to integrate optical designs into broader systems.
• Troubleshoot, prototype, and test optical assemblies to ensure performance and reliability.
• Document findings, create technical reports, and present results to internal stakeholders.

Experience Required:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Optical Engineering, Physics, or a related field.
• 10+ years of professional experience in optical engineering or a closely related discipline.
• Proficiency in Zemax and FRED for optical modeling and design.
• Strong knowledge of optical materials, lasers, and system integration.
• Experience working in high-precision industries such as automotive, aerospace, or similar.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a strong attention to detail.

Qualifications:
