Job Description

Linedata is seeking an experienced Sales Engineer to join our dynamic team in Boston. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering customized product demonstrations to prospects, clients, and industry professionals, showcasing Linedata's full range of solutions, which include order management, compliance, NAV oversight, and integration points tailored to each client's needs.

This is a hybrid position with a strong preference for candidates who can work 2-3 days a week in our office to collaborate with the team.


About the Role - Key Responsibilities:


Skills And Expertise

  • Engage with customers (prospects and existing clients) to identify and document their needs, challenges, and business objectives.
  • Analyze client requirements and identify the best Linedata solutions to meet their needs, including features, functionality, and integration points.
  • Design and deliver tailored product demonstrations that address specific customer needs.
  • Support the sales process by providing follow-up demonstrations and addressing outstanding questions or concerns.
  • Develop a deep understanding of Linedata’s Asset Management platform to offer expert-level guidance and solutions.
  • Uncover key business value points, challenges, and gaps in customer workflows to deliver compelling and impactful presentations.
  • Present solutions effectively to different levels within client organizations, from end-users to senior executives.
  • Collaborate with Sales Executives, Account Managers, and Relationship Managers to support and drive the sales cycle.
  • Participate in the RFI and RFP processes, providing necessary technical input.
  • Work closely with the marketing team to help create relevant industry content and engage in webinars and other outreach activities.
  • Collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, Professional Services, and Hosting teams to continuously improve Linedata’s offerings.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and Linedata product updates to offer the best possible solutions to customers.
  • Customize every customer interaction to ensure an exceptional, personalized experience.
  • Assist in educating industry partners about Linedata’s solutions.


Key Skills

  • Experience: 1-2 years in a business development, inside sales, or related role, preferably within SaaS or fintech environments.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a similar field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial services, particularly in product demonstrations and sales.
  • Industry Knowledge: Strong background in asset management financial products with the ability to communicate effectively with senior executives and business teams.
  • Travel: Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time.
  • Skills: Excellent public speaking, presentation, and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively at all levels of an organization.
  • Attributes: Self-motivated, organized, and able to prioritize tasks in a dynamic environment.
