Responsible to drive and control NYX TS16949 Quality System; initiate action to prevent the occurrence of any nonconformities relating to product, process and quality system; participate in CI initiatives, identify and record any problems relating to the product, process, and quality system utilizing layered audits and other tools such as FPA, etc.; initiate, recommend or provide solutions through designated channels; manage the quality department and the staff; control further processing, delivery or installation of nonconforming product until the deficiency or unsatisfactory condition has been corrected; develop, direct and implement the quality assurance program to prevent or eliminate defects in new or existing products and ensure all finished products meet established quality standards; work with customers and suppliers to improve quality and build inter-company relationships.

Key Responsibilities -

1. Teach and promote continuous improvement methodology to plant personnel.

2. Instruct and direct advanced product quality planning process, including control plans and PFMEA’s.

3. Track and report all quality measurables recorded in MOS.

4. Provide corrective actions for any measurable below goal.

5. Maintain plant quality policy manual to TS16949 standards and requirements.

6. Lead plant efforts to obtain TS16949 certification.

7. Investigate and recommend software that supports the quality functions.

8. Participate in the selection, training, and performance assessment of the quality assurance department personnel.

9. Provide for disposition of product on quality hold.

10. Work with customers to build plant relationship and improve quality.

11. Follow the safety rules, report safety problems and all injuries, regardless of severity.

12. Ensure plant safety and 5S housekeeping standards are maintained.

13. Manage and direct personnel as required.
