TITLE : Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

Comp: Up to $100,000

Location: Indianapolis, IN

Our client is seeking immediate assistance in identifying a candidate for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer direct hire position in Indianapolis, IN

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Design and optimize mechanical components like frames, shafts, brackets, and housings.
• Perform structural, thermal, vibration, and fatigue analysis using FEA tools.
• Create manufacturing drawings that meet industry standards.
• Analyze and specify electro-mechanical and electro-hydraulic systems.
• Review design proposals and technical documents for feasibility and cost-effectiveness.
• Collaborate with vendors and teams to ensure quality manufacturing and assembly.
• Recommend system improvements to enhance performance and reliability.
• Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.

Must have:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• 5-7+ years’ relevant experience
• Machine design experience
• 2D and 3D design experience
• Good mechanical aptitude and knowledge
• Proficient in 3D CAD modeling and FE analysis
