Job Description

We have an ever-growing law firm in Dover, NH seeking a Family Law Legal Assistant to join their team! The Ideal candidate will have past legal experience and will be a team player!

Location: Dover, NH

Hours: 8-5 Monday - Friday with a 1hr lunch

Direct- Hire

Pay: $47,850 - $54,080

Benefits include: Health, Dental, Vision, 401K, FSA

Key Responsibilities:

  • Open and close client files
  • Manage mail, including scanning and distribution
  • Perform conflict checks and draft engagement letters
  • Draft legal correspondence to clients, courts, and opposing counsel
  • Manage paper and electronic files
  • Schedule appointments and court dates
  • Serve and file pleadings in state courts
  • Communicate with clients and opposing counsel

Requirements:

  • 1-3 years of experience in a law firm or office setting
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Outlook, Excel, Adobe, and document management software
  • Strong attention to detail and proofreading skills
  • Ability to multi-task and stay organized
