Job Description

We are looking for an experienced and detail-driven Product Owner to join our team. In this role, you will collaborate closely with business stakeholders, cross-functional teams, and external vendors to successfully deliver key corporate initiatives in the healthcare and insurance sectors. You will manage and prioritize the product backlog, transforming business requirements into actionable features that provide real value to both internal teams and external customers.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with business stakeholders to align product goals with broader organizational objectives, ensuring valuable and impactful outcomes.
  • Define, manage, and prioritize the product backlog, working alongside engineering, design, and data teams to clearly outline requirements and guide feature delivery.
  • Lead agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily standups, retrospectives, and reviews to ensure smooth execution and delivery of product features.
  • Represent the voice of the customer within the agile team, ensuring that features meet business objectives while adhering to technical standards.
  • Facilitate clear communication between business and development teams, ensuring alignment on goals and deliverables.
  • Gather and document business requirements through techniques like interviews and document analysis, transforming them into Epics, Features, and Product Backlog Items (PBIs).
  • Maintain a clear product roadmap, championing product goals and ensuring timely and on-scope delivery of product features.
  • Leverage data and customer insights to inform product decisions, prioritize features, and resolve pain points in the healthcare and insurance experience.


Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience as a Product Owner, Business Analyst, or in a similar role within an agile environment.
  • Experience in the healthcare or insurance industry, with a deep understanding of customer experience (CX) and business processes.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies such as Scrum, SAFe, or XP.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, especially when addressing complex healthcare or insurance-related challenges.
  • Proficiency in tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar SDLC management software for tracking and managing product backlogs.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • A collaborative mindset and experience working effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong analytical skills and data-driven decision-making abilities.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with formal requirements and development SDLC management tools.
  • Certifications such as Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP), or SAFe Agilist are a plus.
  • Familiarity with EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) and healthcare-specific systems.
