This position is part of SKBA's IT Shared service but actually functions as a member of the BlueOval SK IT team.

BlueOval SK is a historic investment between two global companies, Ford Motor Company and SK On, who share the ambitious vision of electrifying the future of mobility. Together, they invested a total of $11.4 billion dollars to form a Joint Venture company called BlueOval SK. By utilizing SK On’s battery technology the company aspires to make the world’s most safe and dependable electric vehicle (EV) batteries for the Ford and Lincoln brands.
The partnership is building three EV battery plants. One plant is located in Stanton, Tennessee at BlueOval City and twin plants will stand in Glendale, Kentucky at BlueOval SK Battery Park.
Role and Responsibilities: (day to day expected job duties):
• Infrastructure Management: Oversee the planning, deployment, and maintenance of servers, networks, storage systems, and IT hardware.
• Team Leadership: Lead and mentor the IT operations team, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement. And allocate resources effectively to meet operational and project deadlines.
• Vendor management: Manage relationships with IT vendors, including procurement and contract negotiation.
• Strategic Planning: Evaluate emerging technologies and trends to propose enhancements to the infrastructure. And collaborate with stakeholders to align IT operations with business goals.
• Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity: Manage disaster recovery and backup solutions. Regularly test recovery plans to ensure business continuity.
• Network and Server Operations: Ensure high availability, performance, and security of all network and server operations. Monitor and optimize network performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions proactively.
• Security & Compliance: Deploy advanced network security protocols, firewalls, and intrusion detection/prevention systems to safeguard organizational data and ensure compliance with industry standards.
• Troubleshooting & Support: Provide prompt resolution to network-related issues, ensuring minimum downtime and supporting users with connectivity and access issues.
• Performance Monitoring: Continuously monitor network performance, bandwidth utilization, and traffic patterns, implementing adjustments and enhancements as necessary.
• Continuous Learning & Training: Stay updated with emerging trends in network technologies, protocols, and security. Lead training sessions and provide support to the broader Infrastructure team.
Basic Qualifications (skills required to do this job; list at least 3 that are quantifiable):
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Advanced certifications (e.g., CCNP, AWS Solutions Architect, ITIL) are a plus.
• Minimum of 7–10 years of experience in IT infrastructure management or related roles.
• Proven expertise in managing enterprise-level networks, servers, and cloud environments.
• Strong knowledge of network protocols and server management.
• Experience with enterprise tools such as Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and monitoring systems.
• Proficiency in managing routers, switches, firewalls, and other network hardware from vendors like Cisco, Fortinet.
• Familiarity with network security practices, including VPNs, intrusion detection systems, and firewalls.
• Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex network issues.
• Excellent teamwork, collaboration, and communication skills.
Nice to have but not a must:
• Experience in manufacturing, logistics, or similar industries.
• Experience managing large-scale IT projects and leading teams.
• Understanding of power, cooling, and cabling management.
• Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with non-technical teams.
Education/Certifications: (any specific degree/certs needed to perform job functions)
• A Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Engineering, or a related field. Certifications such as Cisco's CCNA, CCNP, or similar would be highly advantageous.
