Job Description

Glavé & Holmes Architecture, an architectural firm concerned with context, high-quality custom design & documentation, & client satisfaction, is looking for a dedicated, passionate Interior Designer who has integrity, intelligence, great energy and is self-motivated. This individual should have a minimum of 8- years of experience and ideally have experience in the Commercial/Higher Education sectors. We are interested only in those individuals who can perform the role described below and with the credentials listed. Responsibilities include working as part of a team in all phases of a project from Marketing through Installation. Our Interior Design studio works collaboratively with our architects to create a seamless integration. The ability to contribute and learn as a part of the team, produce work promptly, assist with marketing efforts, as well as create and manage project deliverables, coordinate vendors, and manage areas of project delivery. The position offers great learning potential, and opportunities to work on exciting and high-profile projects.

For this role, the desirable credentials and abilities include:

  • Must have a degree from an accredited program in Interior Design
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience with a professional certification in the U.S. or pursuing that goal.
  • Experience with prior project and team management.
  • Experience with complex project programs and project sizes above $10M construction cost, experience with public and private sector projects.
  • Experience in Higher Education and Commercial are desired in particular.
  • Demonstrated ability to significantly contribute a set of construction documents, and knowledge of materials, details, and construction.
  • Expertise with Revit, AutoCad, and Adobe Creative Suite platforms as well as with financial software, Newforma, and MS Office Suite.
  • Passion for design excellence, collaborative spirit, willingness to learn/mentor, and sense of humor.
  • Interest in contextual design and architecture.
  • Abilities with graphic design, hand drawing, sketching, and verbal and written communication.
  • Ability to focus on multiple scales and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Interest in expanding your leadership role on projects
