The Project Engineer will report to the Project Manager and support Estimating, Proposals, Pre-construction, construction, inspections, and turnover of successful projects. The Project Engineer will be someone who is organized and completes tasks in a timely manner. In addition, they will need to be motivated by success and willing to go above and beyond what is expected.
Responsibilities
- Estimate, compile bids and generate proposals
- Develop construction schedules on Primavera P6
- Maintain schedules through updates, revisions and distribution
- Project cost review (receive and review/evaluate contractor quotations), reporting, updating, and accounting (progress billing, billing cycle)
- Coordinate and schedule deliveries/vendors/subcontractors
- Manage material and equipment procurement
- Collect and review Vendors/Subcontractors invoices for accuracy and completeness
- Process Submittals, Subcontracts, Purchase Orders, RFI’s, Change Orders, Claims etc.
- Provide technical support to the superintendent
- Manage project closeout: tracking documentation, and compiling and submitting to Owner
- Maintain other required records needed by the client
- Assist the Project Manager on daily operations
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or equivalent related field; experience in the waterworks industry preferred
- 2 years of experience as a Project Engineer
- Good organization skills
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to simultaneously manage diverse number of projects
- Computer skills: Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel), SAGE, Primavera P6
