Tiello has partnered with a growing and thriving Structural Steel/Misc Metals Fabricator and Contractor in the Phoenix, AZ region in their search for a Senior Estimator experienced with steel projects. Client will consider relocation assistance for the right candidate.
As a Steel Estimator, you are a dedicated and organized professional with exceptional leadership skills, you will be responsible for collaborating with Estimators of General Contractors, and Internal office departments.

Job Title: Senior Estimator
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Reviews design drawings and specs for accuracy and completeness and assembles a proper and accurate quote for our clients.
- Assists in providing technical instructions and guidance for the PM Team and Detailers on what was quoted in the proposal.
- Maintains daily communication with Assist Project Managers, Project Manager, Sr. Project Manager, General Manager or Vice President on progress of areas of responsibility.
- They collaborate with other departments (PM, APM, PC, Shop) to ensure equipment, man hours, planning is accurate.
- Assist in updating Tekla, with shop and field labor hours, based on history.
Skills & Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required. Training from an approved or accredited technical school in engineering or detailing/drafting is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years in related experience in the coordination of structural steel projects. Detailing experience highly preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret design drawings and specs. General understanding and knowledge of basic drafting skills, 3D modeling software/Tekla practices, fabrication and erection standards, standard technical terminology, common structural steel practices, and drafting room procedures.
- MS Windows 10, MS Office 365; Office Word, Excel, and Outlook; Contract Manager, Trimble and Tekla software. Bluebeam applications.
