Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Controls Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in delivering high-quality engineering solutions for our clients. You will be responsible for engineering project requirements involving DeltaV Distributed Control Systems (DCS) development, PLC programming , HMI/SCADA programming , and a wide range of operational technology (OT) and information technology (IT) tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and program DeltaV DCS systems to meet project specifications.
- Design and implement PLC programming solutions for industrial automation.
- Create and configure HMI/SCADA applications tailored to client needs.
- Design IT/OT network architectures to support seamless system integration.
- Oversee the procurement, installation, and wiring of IT/OT equipment.
- Conduct system testing, check-out, and provide on-site support during commissioning.
- Collaborate with clients and cross-functional teams to ensure project requirements are met efficiently.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry best practices, emerging technologies, and standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience with DeltaV DCS development , PLC programming , and HMI/SCADA systems .
- Strong understanding of IT/OT integration, network design, and related technologies.
- Familiarity with the procurement and installation of IT/OT equipment.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities, with a customer-focused approach.
- Willingness to travel to client sites within the Houston area as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in industries such as energy, manufacturing, or process automation.
- Certifications in DeltaV, PLC programming, or related technologies are a plus.
- Familiarity with commissioning processes and system start-up.
