8am-4pm or 9am-5pm no overtime or weekends

Our client's market-leading leveraged finance intelligence team is seeking an experienced leveraged finance lawyers who will produce high-quality research that is widely utilized by a diverse range of market participants, including hedge funds, CLOs, law firms, and sell-side financial institutions. This role will belong to a team of analysts (25+ JDs) and writing and research would be heavily emphasized.

Key Responsibilities:

• Engage with subscribers to provide clarification and insights on our research or discuss potential transactions.
• Establish your reputation as a subject matter expert in leveraged finance.
• Collaborate with colleagues to produce impactful cross-disciplinary research.
• Produce event-driven research and reports on special situations as they arise in the market.
• Write in-depth research reports on broadly syndicated and private credit leveraged loan covenants, tracking names from issuance to bankruptcy.
• Lead the conversation on market trends and developments by writing authoritative research reports.
• Assist in preparing private credit portfolio analyses and data-driven reports.

Required Qualifications:

• A midlevel-senior lawyer with extensive experience in drafting, negotiating, and reviewing leveraged finance documents, including credit agreements and indentures.
• 6+ years of experience in Big Law, specializing in leveraged finance.
• Strong understanding of the leveraged finance market and how covenants and financial definitions work within leveraged finance documents.
• Excellent business acumen and commercial sensibility.
• Proven experience communicating complex leveraged finance issues to business principals.
• Ability to work efficiently under deadline pressure.
