Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and strategic leader to join our team as the Director of Human Resources (HR). This individual will be responsible for shaping and executing a forward-thinking HR strategy that aligns with our business goals, with a specific focus on fostering an inclusive, engaging, and high-performing company culture. In addition, the Director of HR will partner closely with leaders across the organization to drive business results and build high-performance teams. This role also includes oversight of the HR Manager, who handles the daily operational aspects of HR functions. 

 

Key Responsibilities:  


  • Talent Development & Retention:  

Build a robust talent development program that promotes growth opportunities, leadership development, and skill-building across all levels. Create strategies that attract, retain, and motivate top talent while enhancing succession planning. 


  • Talent Acquisition  

Develop strategies and identify demographic segments to attract and retain talent, building brand awareness and a future candidate pool. Evaluate and elevate the employee value proposition working toward maximizing opportunities for growth and development.


  • Employee Engagement:  

Design and implement engagement strategies that create a positive employee experience and increase retention. Develop and oversee regular employee engagement surveys and action plans that respond to feedback. Strive to offer an employee experience that is welcoming, inclusive, and collaborative; fueling purpose and belonging. 


  • Culture Leadership & Strategy:  

Steward and foster company culture, ensuring alignment with the company’s purpose, values, and long-term strategic goals. Champion a culture of inclusion, innovation, and collaboration. 


  • Organizational Development:  

Partner with the leadership team to drive organizational design and development efforts that align with the business’s evolving needs. Facilitate change management strategies that promote adaptability, resilience, and agility. 


  • Performance Management:  

Oversee and facilitate the implementation of a performance management system that promotes accountability, recognizes high performance, and provides clear feedback and development paths. Partner and support managers in delivery of feedback.? 


  • Oversight of HR Operations: 

Provide guidance, direction, and support to the HR Manager, who is responsible for day-to-day HR operations, including payroll, benefits administration, employee onboarding, and compliance. Ensure operational HR activities are effectively managed and aligned with strategic initiatives. 


  • Partnership with Leaders to Drive Results: 

C ollaborate with senior leaders to align HR strategies with business objectives. Act as a strategic advisor to department heads and leadership teams to ensure that HR initiatives support and drive business outcomes. Focus on building high-performance teams that deliver results, fostering a performance-driven environment. 


  • High-Performance Team Building: 

Develop and implement programs to support team cohesion, leadership effectiveness, and employee performance. Facilitate leadership development initiatives and coaching to ensure managers and leaders are equipped to build and sustain high-performance teams. 


  • HR Policies & Compliance: 

Ensure all HR policies are in line with legal standards and best practices while supporting the organization’s unique culture. Work with the HR Manager to implement procedures that are fair, transparent, and effectively communicated to employees. 


  • Employee Relations & Conflict Resolution:  

Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on all HR matters, providing guidance on employee relations issues. Lead conflict resolution efforts, fostering a workplace environment that is open, collaborative, and respectful. 


  • Leadership & Coaching:  

Provide leadership, mentorship, and direction to the HR team, including direct oversight of the HR Manager. Ensure the HR team is equipped to support the business and its people effectively. Serve as a coach and confidant to executives and managers, helping to develop leadership capabilities across the organization. 

 

Qualifications:  

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; Master’s degree desired. 
  • 5+ years of HR experience, with at least 2 years in a manager or higher role
  • Expertise in employee recruitment, engagement, organizational development, and talent management.
  • Strong leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across departments. 
  • Deep knowledge of HR best practices, compliance regulations, and employment law. 
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills.
