We are looking for an experienced Senior Network Engineer to ensure the security, scalability, and performance of our network infrastructure. Reporting to the Chief Information Officer, you will maintain and optimize network systems while focusing on high availability, security, and reliability. This role also includes supporting IT systems during slower networking periods.
As a Senior Network Engineer, you will design and implement scalable network solutions, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and oversee network security. You'll also mentor junior engineers, contribute to strategic network planning, and assist with IT infrastructure management.
Responsibilities:
- Network Design & Implementation : Develop secure, high-performance networks, including firewalls, VPNs, and routing protocols. Maintain network documentation.
- Maintenance & Optimization : Perform updates and upgrades to ensure security and system reliability. Identify and resolve bottlenecks, collaborate on security practices.
- Troubleshooting & Support : Resolve complex network issues and manage cloud and on-premise network integration. Support IT system configurations.
- Collaboration & Mentorship : Work with vendors and guide junior engineers on network best practices.
- Strategic Planning : Update network maps, document hardware performance, and create maintenance schedules.
- IT Infrastructure Management : Assist in system maintenance, updates, and backup for business continuity.
Requirements:
- Experience : 7+ years in network engineering and system administration, with expertise in network protocols, security, routing, and cloud configurations.
- Skills : Strong knowledge of network security, cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP), and network troubleshooting.
- Certifications : CCNP, CompTIA Network+ or similar.
- Leadership : Ability to collaborate, lead projects, and mentor junior engineers.
- Problem-Solving : Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to optimize network performance.
- Vendor Management : Experience managing network hardware/software relationships.
Bonus Skills:
- Experience with SD-WAN, automation (Ansible, Python), network security frameworks (NIST, CIS), Wi-Fi 6, disaster recovery, and network monitoring tools.
