The Mechanical Engineer is responsible for:
Take charge of the engineering activities under the rotating and static equipment categories
(compressors, turbines, pumps, cryogenic storage tanks, buffer tanks, exchangers, cooling
towers, refrigeration units, etc.) on projects working with international centers.
Draw up technical choices, capitalize on experience, and ensure the updating of
processes and standards in their field, taking into account the group rules and
E&C standards.
Main missions are:
-Recommend technical solutions that offer the best overall cost of ownership
and meet the customer’s needs.
-Provide the Proposals and Projects with the necessary support, in particular by
identifying equipment risks and defining and monitoring appropriate mitigation
actions.
-During the project execution phase, participate in the technical monitoring of the
machine packages:
-Analysis of suppliers' offers
-Preparation of technical comparison tables
-Verification of supplier documents (plans, procedures, calculation notes, etc.)
-Communication with various suppliers
-Participate in problem solving in design / manufacturing / installation / startup /
operations phases.
-Provide technical support to the various entities as well as to the operational
centers of the other entities of the #### group.
-Participate in the treatment of non-conformities and technical incidents (root
cause analysis, improvement actions...).
-Ensure the traceability of technical choices and capitalization/lessons learned.
Competencies and Profile
-BS mechanical engineer or equivalent.
-Knowledge in mechanics, thermodynamics, static equipment, mechanical integrity, inspections
-Previous experience in EPC roles
-Knowledge of technical standards (e.g. API, ASME, ISO, ANSI, TEMA, CGA)
-Ability to interpret and understand PFDs, and P&IDs to verify that the design and
installation meets all of the codes, standards, and requirements for the projects.
-An experience in cryogenic technologies is a plus.
Very good relationship and coordination with other technical disciplines as well as the proposal and project teams.
