Job Description

Position Summary

The Quality Engineer is responsible for supporting various Quality projects as directed by Quality Manager. The Quality Engineer will support the development, planning and monitoring of quality assurance activities to ensure continuous

compliance of production activities and the Quality Management System.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop processes and procedures in support of manufacturing and quality goals and objectives.
  • Develops and implements data collection methods for those areas pertaining to the cost of quality. Reviews and analyzes COQ information and prepares recommendations for quality and productivity improvements and cost reduction
  • opportunities.
  • Reviews manufacturing planning for quality requirements.
  • Review and approve Quality and Process Specifications, Process Instructions, etc.
  • Process, maintain and monitor quality performance (cost of quality, rejections, reworks, non-conformance investigations, root cause analysis, corrective actions, preventive actions, etc.).
  • Interact with customers (external and internal) relating to processing of quality rejections, reworks, non-conformance, corrective actions, etc.
  • Support inspection through review and approval of first article reports.
  • Support Quality team with daily tasks
  • Supporting of IQ, OQ and PQ activities
  • Supporting of Internal Audit activates
  • Support document control file management
  • Work with Quality team on Quality projects
  • Other duties as assigned to help the team meet its goals.
  • Demonstrate a positive attitude and positive action through a display of courtesy, cooperation, and professionalism
  • Highly organized and detail oriented

Requirements

  • Bachelor of
  • Science Degree in Engineering or equivalent technical discipline.
  • 1+ years in quality role in a manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with Quality Systems (ISO, AS, NADCAP)
  • Ability to work from blue prints, specifications, written and verbal instructions.
  • Ability to use a computer and knowledge of Office 365 Suite
  • Ability to write notes, instructions, and other written communications.
  • Flexible and long hours sometimes required. Physically medium duty work required.
  • Requires standing continuously and walking and sitting occasionally throughout the day.
  • Able to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects up to 25 pounds frequently.
