Our client, a global specialist in energy management & automation , is actively looking for a Quality Engineer to join their team in Fairfield, OH! This role is onsite so local candidates are required.
***This is a 1 year initial contract with the opportunity to extend or convert***
This Quality Engineer will be responsible for identifying non-quality factors continuously, conucting & having other departments conduct in-depth analyses and monitoring quality improvement plans.
Responsibilities
- Identify potential issues before they occur and implement preventive solutions
- Solve quality manufacturing issues affecting customers quickly and effectively through containment, correction and prevention steps
- Plan and take any necessary actions to provide adequate confidence/evidence that a product or service will satisfy given contractual/explicit customer requirements
- Make audits and analyze results as specified by quality systems and methods
- Take any necessary actions to make sure that a product or service will satisfy customer requirements and be the driving force in implementing continuous quality improvement.
- Ensure that the Process Control Plan is applied and consistent with Failure Mode Effect Analysis (Challenge supervisors to identify and manage risks in a preventive mode)
- Lead Process Audits and Process Failure Mode Effect Analysis
- Create and maintain quality control documentation, insure related training and application in the sector
- Lead containment actions, root cause analysis of quality issue and problem solving on his sector
Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or something similar
- 1-3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
- Strong experience with the Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience working with quality improvement tools & techniques/models
- Experience with statistical quality techniques & analysis
