Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Process patient check-ins and check-outs, verifying personal and insurance information.
  • Assist patients with completing forms and understanding documentation.
  • Act as a liaison between patients and healthcare providers to communicate treatment plans and follow-ups.
  • Coordinate referrals, obtain prior authorizations, and schedule tests or specialist appointments.
  • Provide patients with information about office policies, billing inquiries, and available support resources.
  • Follow up with patients to ensure continuity of care and satisfaction.
  • Maintain and update electronic medical records (EMR) accurately and confidentially.
  • Handle patient billing and payment processing; address insurance-related questions.
  • Support the healthcare team with administrative tasks, such as faxing, scanning, and organizing files.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Proven experience as a receptionist, medical office assistant, or similar role.
  • Proficiency with medical scheduling software and electronic medical record systems.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent multitasking and organizational abilities.
  • Familiarity with insurance processes and medical terminology preferred.
