With a focus on effective communication and adherence to healthcare policies, I contribute to enhancing the patient experience in a dynamic medical office setting. *Employment Type:* Full time *Shift:* Day Shift *Description:* * *Position Highlights:* * This is a Full-Time position with Holy Cross Medical Group working Monday - Friday 8:00am – 5:00pm with excellent benefits starting your first day of employment! * *Position Summary: * * Patient Care Coordinator has many roles in their position. They ensure smooth patient flow throughout the day while multitasking and taking initiative. They interview patients prior to or on the first office visit to verify demographic and financial information, while working within HCMG/hospital policies and procedures. * *What you will do:* * Demonstrates the ability to obtain information and interpret information in terms of the patient's needs. * Confirms with patient any changes in address, phone number or insurance information. * Verifies validity and coverage of insurance. * Obtains HMO/PPO authorizations, if applicable. * Enters all changes in the IDX System and documents any information regarding the account or patient information on the comment screen/sticky notes. * *What you will need:* * *Education:* High school diploma or equivalent is required. * *Experience:* Minimum of 1 year experience in medical office setting and knowledge of CPT and ICD9 codes and health care insurance preferred.
