We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Assistant Manager to oversee the daily operations of our lodge. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a customer-focused mindset, and a proven track record in the hospitality industry. As the Assistant Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the property, maintaining high standards of guest service, while creating a motivating work environment and exceeding guest service scores. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Operations Management: Oversee the daily operations of the property, ensuring all areas are running efficiently and effectively, including front desk, housekeeping, maintenance, and guest services.
- Guest Satisfaction: Ensure that guests receive exceptional service by maintaining high standards of cleanliness, comfort, and overall guest experience.
- Staff Management: Recruit, train, and manage a team of employees. Provide coaching and performance feedback, create schedules, and ensure that all staff members comply with company policies and procedures.
- Financial Management: Monitor budgets, track expenses, and implement cost-saving measures. Analyze financial reports and make recommendations to improve profitability and reduce operational costs.
- Marketing and Sales: Develop and implement marketing strategies to attract guests and increase occupancy rates. Maintain relationships with local businesses and travel partners to generate new bookings.
- Maintenance and Safety: Oversee maintenance and repair activities to ensure that the property is in excellent condition. Ensure compliance with safety and health regulations, and address any safety concerns promptly.
- Compliance: Ensure all legal, health, and safety regulations are being followed and that the property is operating in accordance with local laws and industry standards.
- Problem Resolution: Handle guest complaints and issues in a professional and timely manner, ensuring customer satisfaction.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Proven experience in a similar leadership role within the hospitality industry.
- Strong understanding of hotel operations, customer service standards, and financial management.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of hotel management software and basic office tools (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
- A strong commitment to providing outstanding guest experiences and service excellence.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; a degree in hospitality management or a related field is a plus.
